THEY'RE BACK!

The Aussies are back in town. Judith, Pamela and Claire were at La Petite Galerie in early June.
Now they're back for another few weeks after several accommodation adventures - some good, some less so - all over France.
Anyway, they said they wanted to paint some more, so I set them each a task - quite a challenging one really. And here they are hard at it in the garden on a fabulous summer's day in August.

Judith and Claire working on their watercolours.

Pamela hard at work on hers.

And here they are with their three masterpieces:
Lisa Minelli, Michael Jackson and Jackie Kennedy - all painted in the style of the renowned 20th century American pop artist Andy Warhol.
They were all quite taken with their efforts and we'll be painting again next week - so watch this space for more great 21st century works of art.
(Please send any offers to purchase directly to the artists themselves.)

ALL THE WAY FROM IRELAND

Neil, Ruth and Mark painting at Poudenas. This is their second trip and we painted both times, but, unfortunately Mark missed out on the first one.
By all accounts they certainly got around and had a great time - day markets to see all the weird thing the French eat, and night markets at Vianne, Nerac and Sos where you buy your choice of food and wine and eat in the open air with the locals. Topped off with a wonderful meal at the Bastard in Lectoure - Mark said the duck was outstanding.
(Just waiting now for the Guggenheim to phone - which they're sure to do when they hear about the paintings.)
Bon voyage vous trois - hope to see you again sometime.

TRADE MARK JAZZ

This is their fourth time in Gascony. Trade Mark Jazz come to Mezin every year to play at the pubs and night markets in the nearby villages and towns.
Here they are in the garden at La Petite Galerie just before leaving.
Bon voyage - have a great trip back to Alsace - and hope to see you all again next year.
